Helene Schjerfbeck's Life and Art

Helene Schjerfbeck lived in Ekenäs from 1925 to 1941. The city of Ekenäs and its surrounding areas were important to Schjerfbeck in many ways and many of her landscapes were painted in the area now known as Raseborg. Both her parents families were rooted in Ekenäs.

The exhibitions show her art as well as items and letters that belonged to her, for instance a rocking chair that is portrayed in many of her paintings. The works in the exhibition are constantly changing.
